Hello! We are the Dreamers: students and entrepreneurs who are visually impaired. We designed a product at Make48 season 9 nationals, a 48-hour invention competition where teams work together to solve a real-world problem. Our product MOVA, is designed to help individuals facing food insecurity and homelessness. Our goal is to provide access to healthy and nutritious foods and have a way for them to transport their food safely.

Our Product

MOVA is more than a just bag, it is a multiuse, portable tool designed to meet the most immediate needs of people living on the streets. This insulated collapsible bag is capable of safely transporting hot and cold food during the day, and transforming into a safe place to sleep at night. Features include a pillow, a 4-in-1 spoon, fork, knife, and can opener. There is also a retractable flashlight and a wristband that is attached to both of the zippers so nothing gets stolen.

MOVA helps individuals stay mobile when their world is uncertain.

Designed for any environment including: natural disasters, emergencies or transitional living.

What is Homelessness ?

Homelessness means not having a secure place to live. This includes unhoused people living outdoors, or in other places that are not intended for housing. According to the "Department of Housing and Urban Development". "Nearly 22 out of 10,000 Americans- 745,652 people experienced homelessness in January 2025".

What is Food Insecurity?

Food insecurity is when people do not have access to enough healthy and nutritious foods to meet the individuals needs. According to the "Feeding America" article there are 48 million people including 14 million children who experience food insecurity each year.
